There were sufficient staff to provide safe care to people. Staff told us staffing levels had been stretched at times but were improving. Some agency staff worked to support the team when required.
Staff received training and support in their roles through online and face to face training, competency checks, staff meetings, one to one supervision and appraisals. At the time of our inspection there was not a registered manager in post. Management oversight of the service had lapsed in recent months.
People did not spend enough time out and about doing things they enjoyed. Care plans contained a range of activities people enjoyed doing away from the service, but these were not regularly taking place.
