Risk assessments were reviewed following a fall to help ensure timely action could be taken to help prevent any reoccurrence. Medicines were managed safely. Medicines administration records demonstrated that medicines were given as prescribed.

Staff told us they had worked as a team throughout the pandemic... One staff member said, 'We are like a second family.' Staff told us they felt supported. One staff member told us, 'There is no divide between nurses and care workers, it literally is a team.'

There was an emphasis on staff training and progression. Champions roles had been appointed in all aspects of people's care such as palliative care, falls and dementia.

People, relatives and staff spoke positively about the registered manager. They told us she was 'approachable' 'lovely' and 'supportive.'
