No permanent manager in post and leadership unstable with high staff turnover.

There was no registered manager at the time of the inspection and there had not been since February 2024. Feedback about management was mixed. One relative said, “[My relative] has been here one year, the turnover of management is a shame”.

Not enough staff on shifts so you are always rushing and residents wait too long for basics like the toilet.

One person told us they sometimes had to wait an hour for the toilet. They said, “I could be waiting up to an hour.”

Safety risks not always handled well like poor fire drills and medication guidance gaps.

Prior to the inspection there had not been a night time fire drill since October 2024... When people were prescribed ‘as and when’ medicines (PRN), guidance in place was not in line with best practice.
