Just basic activities like a residents committee and garden tending, no coordinator or varied programme so shifts are mostly routine personal care.

People told us about their roles on the resident’s committee and how staff had supported them to pursue productive activities such as tending to the gardens.

Staffing is adequate most times but sometimes short-staffed when team members are unreliable, even though management sorts it quickly.

A staff member said, “Sometimes there is not enough staff on duty but that is not because of management it is because of some staff that let their team down. When this does happen [the management team] get it sorted as soon as possible.”

Only standard mandatory training and some dementia courses, no specialist development or funded qualifications for career growth.

Staff had received mandatory and condition specific training.
