Staff we spoke with described a positive and inclusive culture within the service. They told us they felt able to speak openly with the registered manager and said he was approachable.
There were adequate levels of staffing to safely meet people's needs but in two of five staff records, criminal records checks were more than three years old.
Staff received regular training to maintain and update their knowledge and skills. Records showed that staff had also obtained national vocational qualifications (NVQ) in health and social care.
Staff spoke positively about working for the service and said that they received support from management. They also spoke of effective communication and team work.
