People’s medicines were managed safely... Regular audits and competency checks were completed... However, we observed an instance of poor medication handling practice... the registered manager who took immediate action.
Staff told us they felt well supported and spoke positively about the leadership and management within the service. They also confirmed that training and development opportunities were readily available.

The registered manager told us the service was taking part in a project run by a local hospice. The project provided training on topics such as dementia, eating and drinking, diabetes management, and end-of-life support. Several Park Lodge staff were currently attending an off-site dementia training.
