Activities are basic like exercise classes that get disrupted, so the role is mostly routine personal care with little variety.

We observed an exercise activity for people living with dementia. This was well received by people that were able to participate. However, the environment was noisy, and the activity was disrupted multiple times what caused confusion for people involved. We recommend the provider consult current best practice guidance around meaningful engagement activities for people living with dementia.

Only standard training like safeguarding and infection control mentioned, no specialist courses or funded qualifications for career growth.

Staff received safeguarding training and understood their responsibilities around reporting any concerns. Staff received training in IPC, which included use of personal protective equipment.
