Risks to people had been appropriately managed and these were regularly reviewed. The provider had appropriate safeguarding systems in place. People received their medicines safely and as prescribed.

We observed positive interactions with staff and people during our inspection. Staff told us they felt confident if concerns were raised with the registered manager, they would be addressed.

There was now enough staff to meet people's needs. Staff felt the increased staffing allowed them to support people effectively.

Per 2020 comprehensive inspection: Training records showed staff had completed up to date training in a range of training subjects and this was monitored by the management team on a matrix.

Staff and relatives spoke positively about the home manager saying they were very kind and approachable and encouraged them to come and talk to them about any ideas or concerns.

Relatives were positive about the activities people were now doing at the service. Staff felt people had a varied choice of activities including sensory activities, aromatherapy and electric fish tanks.
