Abuse concerns were not always reported to the local authority or regulators straight away.

In 2022, an allegation of abuse had been made. The registered manager took appropriate action and investigated the allegations; however, they did not share these with the local authority or CQC at the time.

Staffing is adequate but relatives say it gets stretched at weekends with call bells sometimes ringing.

One relative told us staffing could be 'stretched', especially at the weekend. Another said, 'I hear call bells going off when I visit, but not for long.'

Recruitment checks missed full work histories and gap reasons for some staff.

Systems were in place to ensure staff were recruited safely, however, a full employment history was not always obtained and reasons for gaps in employment were not recorded.
