There were systems and processes in place to protect people from harm. Medicines were managed safely. Staff were trained in how to recognise and respond to abuse and understood their responsibility to report any concerns.

Staff spoke positively about the supportive leadership and culture within the service. A member of staff told us, 'I've never been so happy in a job.' Another member of staff said... 'like a family'.

We observed, and the staff rota confirmed, sufficient deployment of staff to meet people's needs. The provider carried out dependency audits... low staff turnover, 'We develop and grow together.'

Staff were supported to gain relevant knowledge and skills through an on-going programme of training, supervision and appraisal... the provider was very supportive in relation to staff professional development, including gaining relevant qualifications.

The provider and registered manager were promoting an open, empowering and inclusive culture within the service. Staff spoke positively about the supportive leadership and culture within the service.
