The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events.

Staff all spoke positively about how they were treated by the management team and their colleagues. [...] “We are all a great support to each other,” and “We care about each other we have a good team here.”

People, relatives and friends said there were enough staff with appropriate skills to meet people’s health and support needs. [...] Staff told us there were enough staff.

The training matrix demonstrated a varied training programme that staff were fully engaged with. The registered nurses had clinical training, but it was acknowledged that this was not well documented or planned.

The changed management structure had provided a stable and effective leadership that had fostered a more inclusive culture. Staff felt listened to and valued.
