The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety... Accidents and incidents were recorded and analysed... lessons were learnt... incidents had been reduced as a result of actions. Staff told us there was a very good culture and supportive teamwork. Staff told us they enjoyed working at the home. Comments included, “We communicate with each other really well, this whole team are the best.” And “It's the best here, I plan to be here forever.”
There was a stable staff team who knew people well. All staff spoken with thought there were enough staff to meet people’s needs and support them with their chosen activities. People were involved in the recruitment process.
Staff had received training in safeguarding people from abuse. Staff had received training in infection prevention and control. Staff received regular supervision.
The registered manager was open and approachable. They led by example to make sure care and support provided was inclusive and empowering. Staff felt supported and all said they would be able to speak up about any concerns.
