Risk assessments about known risks to people were well detailed and up to date. Medicines were managed safely although there were a couple of minor recording anomalies which might make auditing unnecessarily complex (no impact).

The provider ensured there were sufficient staff on duty to provide the support people needed. Staff confirmed, "There's enough staff to get people out into the community and to do lots of activities - whatever they want to do" and "We've got a good staff team and more new staff are being recruited."

Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: Records confirmed that staff had completed mandatory training including positive behaviour support, infection control and safeguarding. Staff were able to access more formal vocational training; supervision and appraisal records in place.

Staff said they felt valued and supported by the provider and by the management team. Their comments included, "I feel really valued by [management team], they are very approachable and find resolutions to any issues we have."

The service gave people opportunities to try new activities that enhanced and enriched their lives. Staff confirmed enough staff to get people out into the community and to do lots of activities - whatever they want to do (2023). Per 2018: People accessed community, swimming, holidays, walks.
