The provider did not always share concerns quickly and appropriately... we identified 2 concerns that had not been reported as a safeguarding concern or notified to CQC. Risk assessments were of mixed quality. Some... were missing... Medicines: errors were reoccurring.
Staff told us they felt valued and listened to by managers. One staff member told us, “We all pull together as a team”. Staff retention within the service was good.
People were supported by sufficient levels of staffing. The registered manager confirmed the staff team was stable. Staff: “There is enough staff to get it all done and we can cover each other well.”
Training was in place and staff had their competencies checked. Training had been completed online. The provider had a plan to introduce more face-to-face training. However this had not started at the time of our assessment.
Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff told us they felt supported by the management. A member of staff said, “Manager support is excellent.”
The service held various activity sessions to cater for different needs... strong community links with local community groups such as a nursery and pet therapy service. A local school came for harvest festival... There is always something going on.
