Working at Nightingale

Staff confidently followed safeguarding procedures, knew how to raise concerns, and trusted the registered manager to act promptly and appropriately. All incidents were recorded on the electronic governance system, reviewed, and audited to identify trends and improvements.

A member of staff said, “The team is amazing. I enjoy every day. I love Nightingale, the people and the staff team.’’ Another staff commented, “Nightingale is homely and friendly. Everyone has people’s best interest at heart. We all work together.’’

Staff received training in areas such as learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, life support, safety interventions, and positive behavioural support. Regular supervision, appraisals, and a structured induction helped staff maintain the skills and confidence needed.

Staff said the management team was approachable, visible, and involved them in discussions about supporting people. Managers were capable, understood their responsibilities, and acted to make improvements when needed.
