No permanent manager in post, and the current one covers too many homes for proper oversight.

At the time of our inspection there was not a registered manager in post. The manager was managing four of the provider's services. One member of staff told us, 'One manager between four homes is not enough.'

Not all staff up to date on key training like safeguarding and mental capacity.

A review of the training matrix showed not all staff had completed up to date training in safeguarding... less than half of staff had completed training in relation to the MCA and DoLS.

No real activities programme, so the role is mostly routine personal care with little variety.

People were not always supported to pursue their interests and activities they enjoyed... Records showed the last time this person had been supported with these interests was a year ago.
