"Staff enjoy their work with good rapport and support alongside solid safety, but managers do not check and audit things regularly enough like missed resident reviews."
Per 2021 targeted inspection: We were assured that the provider was using PPE effectively and safely. We were somewhat assured that the provider's infection prevention and control policy was up to date. Staff were not risk assessed to consider COVID-19 and their individual needs.
Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: Staff enjoyed their work and had developed a good rapport with the people they supported. Staff told us they were supported by the registered and deputy managers.
Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: At the time of our site visit, we found there were enough numbers of suitably recruited staff on duty to meet people's needs to keep people safe. Although some staff told us they felt more staff were required to support people.
Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: Staff told us they had received refresher training in several areas and we saw training certificates to confirm this. We could not check all staff training was up to date because records were not easily available for us to review and the electronic records were not available due to technical reasons.
Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: The provider's systems to monitor the quality and safety of the service had not always been effective at identifying where the registered provider needed to make some improvements. For example, key worker reviews had not been completed in line with the provider's processes.
Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: There were opportunities for outings to the local public amenities for lunch and a weekly event to a local day centre. We saw from care plans people were involved in two or three activities outside the home each week.
Managers do not check and audit things regularly enough, like staff reviews of residents are often missed.

Staffing is adequate but some staff say they feel stretched and need more people.
Although some staff told us they felt more staff were required to support people
Training gets done but records are messy and out of date so its hard to know if everyone is fully trained.
We could not check all staff training was up to date because records were not easily available... the training records were out of date and training had been completed but had not been added to the provider's training database
