Working at Moorville House

The service had a proactive and positive culture of safety... All accidents and incidents were recorded by staff and analysed... used to help reduce the risk of repeat events... enabled to take positive risks.

It was very clear staff were enormously proud of the work they did... staff were extremely proud to work for the service and felt valued, appreciated, and enthusiastic... great family feel at Moorville House.

There were enough staff on duty to provide people with the care and support they needed... low turnover of staff which meant people were cared for by a consistent staff team who knew them very well.

Staff received high level autism specific and BILD training and supervision. This included training sessions... compliant with the Restraint Reduction Network Standards... regular supervision meetings and an annual appraisal.

The service was led by an extremely passionate, motivated registered manager and senior management team. They acted as role models for the whole staff team, working alongside them to support people on a daily basis.

People were supported and encouraged to try a range of activities... new activities like yoga, tennis, cycling, walking and going on holiday... football matches... cooking and gardening sessions... piano lessons.
