People felt safe at the home... Risks to people were minimised because staff had received training in how to recognise and report abuse. Regular medicine audits were completed; where errors or concerns were identified, action was taken.
One member of staff told us, 'It's the best place I've ever worked. So relaxed.' Another member of staff told us they had been at the home several years but still, 'Loved their job.'
People and staff told us there were enough staff to care for people. There was a good staff presence throughout our visit. People received care when they needed it and did not have to wait.
New staff completed an induction programme and undertook the Care Certificate. Staff had access to on-line training which helped to make sure they kept up to date with good practice guidance and legislation.
The registered manager was very visible in the home. This enabled them to constantly seek people's views and monitor quality. Staff felt well supported and said they could always talk with the registered manager if they had any worries or concerns.
