The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Root cause analysis (RCA) were completed where necessary.
Staff described to us a stable and supportive working environment. Staff said, “The management team is now very approachable. They maintain an open-door policy... I feel confident that I can approach any member of management.”

Staff were trained in subjects required to carry out their role effectively. Staff said, “I feel confident and well-trained in my role. If I ever felt the need for further training, I know that I can request it without hesitation.”
Since the last inspection the home had a new manager and a new senior leadership team who were present and visible regularly within the home. Staff spoke positively about management saying, “Over the past few months, I have seen a significant and positive transformation at Moorlands.”
