Working at Milton Court Care Home

No permanent manager in post, so leadership oversight might not be fully stable yet.

At the time of our inspection there was not a registered manager in post, the manager had been in post for 3 months and had submitted their application to register with CQC.

Only basic group activities like darts, so the role is mostly routine personal care with little chance for creative engagement.

People were offered and encouraged to join in with group activities. We saw an activity planner for the upcoming week. During the inspection the well-being co-ordinator was on duty and had arranged a group darts activity.

Staffing is adequate but nothing special, with people often left alone for long periods outside care tasks.

Whilst there were enough staff to keep people safe, we found people in their rooms were often left alone for extended periods of time outside of any direct care being provided.
