There were safeguarding procedures in place and staff understood these procedures. Risks to people were assessed and staff were aware of the action to take to minimise risks.

Staff were positive about how the service was run and the support they received from the management team. 'The staff meetings are helpful. They give us an opportunity to express our views.'

There were enough staff to meet people's care and support needs. The registered manager told us they used a dependency tool to ensure staffing levels met peoples current nursing care and support needs.

Records showed that staff had completed training relevant to peoples care and support needs including diabetes, dementia, epilepsy, medicines administration. Staff were receiving regular supervision and annual appraisals.

Staff said they received good support from the registered manager. 'The registered manager has an open-door policy and is always there for staff.'

Per 2021 comprehensive inspection: People were engaged in various activities including music, quizzes, bingo, puzzles, singing and dancing with activities coordinator and themed events like cruise ship activity.
