The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events.

Staff felt supported by the management team. One member of staff said, “We have a good team, all colleagues bring something individual to the team and the manager is very supportive.”

Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: Staff had completed the provider's mandatory training which was regularly refreshed. Where required staff had received specialised training.

Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop in their roles. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally.

Health professional told us, “Staff are really innovative in how they approach activities for the people they support, with a very ‘can do’ attitude.” Examples include adapted surfing and Disney cruise.
