Staff knew how to recognise abuse and protect people from the risk of harm. Risk assessments covered all areas of identified and known risk. Medicines systems were organised and people were receiving their medicines when they should. Lessons were learnt when issues happened.

Staff had a clear understanding of their role and what was expected of them. Training was completed face to face and included medication administration and safeguarding. The registered manager had a good oversight of what was happening in the service, and demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of all areas. Staff told us they felt listened to and that the registered manager and provider were approachable.
