Working at Magdalen House Care Home

No permanent manager after the last one failed probation, with lots of changes confusing staff and relatives.

At the start of our inspection a manager was in post, but we were advised during the inspection they had not been successful in their probation period and recruitment was underway.

Staffing is adequate but sometimes hard to find staff when needed, even with fewer agency workers now.

There was mixed feedback from people, relatives, and staff about the staffing numbers in the home. [...] some shared instances of having to find staff who were not always visible at certain times.

Staff morale is mixed because of too many management changes and confusing messages from leaders.
