There was a safeguarding policy in place and staff knew how to identify and report any concerns. Medicines were managed safely by trained staff and people received their medicines as prescribed.

Staff told us the registered manager was very approachable and kept staff 'in the loop' with good communication. Staff felt they knew what was expected of them by the registered manager and felt valued.

We reviewed staffing levels and found suitable numbers of staff were on duty to provide appropriate support.

Staff received an induction and a suite of annual mandatory training along with regular supervision and ongoing competency checks.

People, relatives and visiting professionals were very positive about the registered manager and staff team. The registered manager was very visible around the home and had an open-door policy for staff, people and visitors.

The service employed an activity co-ordinator and there was an activity programme in place... Group activities and entertainment were provided at the home and bespoke, one-to-one time was provided.
