Staff had completed training in how to protect people from abuse... Records showed safeguarding concerns were recorded and dealt with appropriately. Medicines were managed safely.

Staff we spoke with were clearly proud of the service... Staff told us there was an open and positive culture at the home and they enjoyed working there.

There were enough staff on duty to meet people's needs quickly and keep them safe. Most of the staff have worked here for years and they regard residents as family.

People, relatives, staff and external professionals felt the home was extremely well managed. Staff were highly motivated to develop the service and were actively encouraged in this by the registered manager.

The provider employed a wellbeing co-ordinator who arranged activities and events such as singing puppets, quizzes, animal therapy, planting a sensory garden and summer and Christmas fairs. Excellent community links.
