Staff numbers are adequate with enough on shift and some long-term staff, but no comments from workers about light workloads or extra capacity for personal care.

Relatives told us there were enough staff to support people. Staff told us most of them had worked at the home for a long time.

Only standard training like Care Certificate inductions and regular refreshers, no specialist courses or funded qualifications.

The Care Certificate standards were included in the induction process. Staff received regular ongoing training to ensure their learning, skills and knowledge was current.

Some varied activities like picnics, outings, horse riding and charity walks, but no dedicated coordinator or specialist programmes.

We observed an indoor picnic where people interacted easily with staff. People were taken on holiday each year... one person had wanted to go horse riding... completed a charity walk.
