Staff understood their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding; medicines were administered, stored and managed safely; lessons learnt from incidents like a medicine error.

We saw the staff team supported each other and there was a positive and upbeat atmosphere within the home; staff felt they could freely express themselves.

There was a staff training matrix in place to ensure that staff remained up to date with their training; staff received regular supervision.

The registered manager was approachable and responsive to people and staff; staff said they felt supported by the registered manager.

Staff supported people to the provider's 'step-down' service, community access, day trips, garden projects and pursuing individual hobbies like working with animals.
