The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety... Staff were confident any concerns raised would be dealt with appropriately. Medicines were managed safely.

There was a positive and inclusive culture within the service... Staff we spoke with said the manager was friendly, supportive and cared about them, and treated them as individuals. One relative said, “What a lovely team.”

The provider made sure there were enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff... No one we spoke with told us of any concern in relation to the numbers of staff on duty. A relative said, “There are plenty of staff around.”

Staff spoke positively about their training. One staff member told us, “The training is good, and we are supported with our personal development. Opportunities to progress to senior roles are offered.”

Leaders were visible, knowledgeable and supportive. Staff told us, “I would describe the manager as a 'motherly' type of person who always has time for us and is honest.”

People were offered a range of group and individual activities... local children come to the home regularly... activities in the garden... going to the local shops... cultural events celebrated.
