Working at Lime Court Care Home

Staffing levels are enough most days but sometimes residents wait for help like getting up late.

Sometimes they can't get me up very early as they haven't got the staff. They keep getting new residents and they haven't got enough staff to cope with it. Sometimes it's been 10 in the morning and I need to get up.

Only standard training like inductions and the Care Certificate with no specialist courses or funded qualifications.

New staff had been given a full induction to the service which included completing shadow shifts... Staff also completed the Care Certificate... Staff had regular staff meetings and supervision.

Varied activities with a coordinator like pet visits and music but no named specialist programmes or staff training in therapies.

Activities include music therapy, singing, children visiting, animals – pet the dog and a petting zoo came a couple of weeks ago... a lady comes in and sings.
