Systems and processes were in place to protect people from the risk of abuse. Staff routinely received safeguarding adults training. Medicines systems were well-organised, and people received their prescribed medicines as and when they should.
Staff told us they received all the support they needed from the services management. A member of staff said, 'We're a small team who work extremely well together. All the managers and staff support each other, which makes it a pleasure to work at Lavender house.'
The service was adequately staffed by people whose suitability and fitness to work at the care home had been thoroughly assessed. There were enough staff to meet people's needs.
