Staff understanding of safeguarding was good and they knew their responsibilities. Medicines were mostly very well managed and clearly recorded, although we found one stocktaking error. Risks were well managed.
Staff felt well supported. Feedback about the manager was positive, and staff appreciated the support they gave. Staff had some input into the way the service was run. They told us staff meetings were an open forum.
People who used the service and staff told us there were enough staff. Records confirmed that staffing levels were provided in accordance with the service's assessed levels. Bank and agency staff were drawn from a small team who knew people well.
