Not enough staff at times, so residents sometimes wait and care workers get stretched.

One person said, “Sometimes they are short staffed,” another person said, “There are not really enough staff.” During busier periods some people were left waiting for support.

Medication not always handled safely, like missing signatures on strong painkillers and poor records for pain patches.

Administration of controlled drugs was not always signed by 2 staff and body maps for the administration of pain patches were not used effectively. This put people at risk of harm.

Management oversight weak with poor sharing of info and audits that miss issues.
