Staff numbers are enough but got stretched during the pandemic and they are still recruiting more people.

The registered manager, provider and care staff told us staffing was stretched and although the core staff team worked to fill any gaps in the rota, it had been a challenge over the pandemic when there had been staff absences.

No activities coordinator or special programmes, so days involve staff-led choices like art, trips and discos rather than structured variety.

People were supported to take part in the activity of their choice during the day or in the evening and supported to have social lives.

Training covers basics and some specialist topics like epilepsy, plus supervision, but nothing about funded qualifications or career growth.

Staff training included aspects relating to people's individual needs such as diabetes, epilepsy or dementia. Staff told us they felt supported through supervision and appraisal which were both taking place and recorded.
