There was a positive and open culture at the service... Staff felt involved in the service. They told us the management team listened to them and kept them informed.

Staff told us there were enough staff on duty, at all times to make sure people's needs were met safely. People we spoke with confirmed this but said staff were very busy.

Staff new to care undertook the care certificate and all new staff followed a programme of induction and training to support them in their role. Staff said they could request training if the need arose.

Per 2017 comprehensive inspection: the service now commissioned activity sessions from a local company several times a week, which included reminiscence, craft activities and armchair exercises. A sessional activities co-ordinator used information about people's preferences.
