No permanent manager in post, just senior staff covering which means leadership feels unstable

The service did not have a registered manager at the time of our visit but there were senior staff managing the home

Staff sometimes stretched thin especially at night or if someone calls in sick, with relatives complaining numbers are low

Several relatives told us there were insufficient staff to support people safely... Relatives told us there were not enough staff at night-time

Staff have gaps in training and knowledge, like not spotting unsafe feeding positions

Some staff had gaps in their knowledge about their responsibilities. Staff did not always demonstrate appropriate knowledge for the tasks they carried out
