The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Lessons were learnt to continually identify and embed good practice.
Staff were happy and enjoyed their work and caring for people. Staff told us they felt supported and listen to by management. Staff comments included, “We work as a team, everyone is respected and respectful of each other” and “We have really good teamwork and team approach.”
There were enough staff to meet people’s needs. Staffing levels across the care home were consistently good, as evidenced by the staff rota, our observations during the inspection visit and feedback from people, relatives, staff, and professionals.

Staff received training to meet people’s specific needs and had regular refresher training to ensure their knowledge and practice was in up to date with current best practice.

We observed people enjoyed taking part in a range of activities both group activities and activities adapted for people cared for in bed. There were links developed with local community groups, observe and practice their faith and promoted inter-generational activity.
