We could not be assured there was safe management of medicines. This placed people at avoidable risk of harm. The service was in breach of legal regulation in relation to people’s safe care and treatment.
Staff told us they enjoyed working at the service and thought the registered manager was approachable. “I feel supported and appreciated.”
Staff consistently told us they felt there were not enough of them working at the service. Comments included, “There isn't enough staff.”
Staff received training in safeguarding. Mental capacity training was in place for all staff. However, we found competency assessments were infrequent.
