Staff we spoke with said that they thought the culture of the home was positive and supportive of people's needs and rights.
We found there were sufficient staff to provide the care that people needed. People had the level of support that had been identified in their care records, meaning where people had been assessed as requiring 1:1 support this was provided.
Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: All of the staff have to complete MAPA training as soon as possible. Staff had received training in autism, learning disabilities, positive behaviour management and epilepsy. Staff had one to one supervision meetings.
Staff said the registered manager was supportive and approachable. One member of staff said, 'The manager seems fine and balances well with the deputy. Things are definitely improving.'
Per 2018 comprehensive inspection: People planned individual weekly activity plan for both inside and outside the home. Staff supported people to attend local events and social activities they enjoyed. One person had nails manicured, enjoyed colouring pictures of cars.
