Working at Hunters Lodge Care Home

No permanent manager in place, two deputy managers are running the home.

At the time of the assessment the service did not have a registered manager, a manager had been recruited and was due to start working in the new year.

Some staff have not finished all their required training yet.

Some of the staff had not completed all of the required training, the leadership team were aware of this prior to our assessment and were working with staff to ensure this was completed.

Staffing is adequate but can be stretched when people call in sick, sometimes using agency workers.

Per 2019 comprehensive inspection: Staff told us staffing levels were ok but could be difficult when staff were off sick... on occasions in order to ensure appropriate staffing levels, they used agency staff.
