Working at Hope Lodge

The administration and handling of medication was done safely. Audits were in place that had identified some counting errors... medication that needed to be disposed was not always stored appropriately.

The service ensured that there were enough staff on duty... A staff member told us, 'I cannot remember of a time we were short staffed, the managers step in if needed'.

An ongoing programme of training for all staff in topics relevant to their role... We saw training records on needs specific to the people using the service such as learning disabilities and autism and diabetes.

The service organised daily walks to the park and trips to the cinema... a person volunteered for a charity organisation and someone else did gardening.
