"Staff feel supported in a positive atmosphere with good training, but no dedicated manager and safety issues with medicines hold it back."
Medicines were not always managed safely. Medicines which were prescribed to be given 'time specific', were not always administered at the correct times. At the time of our inspection there was not a registered manager in post. The manager at the time of the inspection was overseeing multiple services. This led to lack of oversight in relation to the quality assurance and governance systems in place.
Activities were not always tailored to suit the needs of the people. Activities were not always personalised and wishes were not explored. An activity board was in place but not in use at time of the inspection.
No permanent manager in post and current one splitting time across multiple homes means less focused leadership and oversight.
