Staff demonstrated an understanding of what might constitute abuse... Safeguarding concerns had also been reported appropriately... Medicines were safely administered. Audits were undertaken to ensure people were receiving their medicines as prescribed.

Staff spoke positively about communication and how the registered manager worked well with them, encouraged team working and an open culture. A relative commented: 'They (registered manager) is very good at communicating. Absolutely fantastic, amazing manager.'

Staff received training on subjects including, safeguarding vulnerable adults, the Mental Capacity Act (2005), behaviour management, catheter care and first aid. Staff had also completed nationally recognised qualifications in health and social care.
