Staff understood their responsibility of recognising and protecting people from harm and abuse... Risk management plans were developed which provided staff guidance... People's medicines were managed safely. There were established systems in place for the administration, ordering and storage of medicines.

People had the support from enough staff to meet their needs safely. We reviewed staff rotas for a period of three months before the inspection and saw enough staff were made available on each shift to support people.
Each member of staff completed an induction, training, supervision and a yearly appraisal... Training in safeguarding, basic life support, infection control, medicine management and mental health awareness was completed.

Each person had a planner which provided details on the activities they had planned each day... activities included, going to the cinema, foot spa, cycling, going to the central London, cooking, disco at the Gateway club, parties, shopping, going to the gym...
