Medication errors like storing medicines for people who had died and inaccurate stock counts that audits missed.

We found some medicines still being stored for 3 people who had passed away... Stocks of 1 medicine were inaccurately recorded... Medicines audits had been completed but had not identified the issues noted here.

Residents sometimes wait for call bells and say staff are rushed off their feet.

“Sometimes you might have to wait for staff to answer the call bell”... “They need more staff, because people’s needs are greater now and staff are rushed off their feet.”

Only standard training like induction and annual safeguarding, no specialist courses or funded qualifications.

Staff completed a range of training as part of their induction. Staff completed safeguarding training which was refreshed annually.
