Not enough staff on shifts, residents wait a long time for help, and sometimes it's unsafe without first aid trained staff.

The staff were not deployed safely throughout the day and night to ensure peoples’ needs could be met in a timely manner. We observed people waiting for support to be provided for long periods of time, on one occasion we intervened and requested support.

Big safety problems like missing risk assessments, unsafe equipment, and poor medication guidance put everyone at risk.

Lack of risk assessments placed people at risk of avoidable harm as not all staff were equipped with the information required to support people safely.

Gaps in training and missing records mean staff might not have the skills to care safely, plus no regular supervision.

There were gaps in staffs training, and we were not provided with one staff members training record, so we were not assured staff had the skills, knowledge and experience to support people safely. We did not see evidence of regular supervision for staff.
