The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety and investigated and reported safety events. Lessons were learnt.

Leaders and staff had a shared vision and culture based on listening, learning and trust. Staff felt supported to give feedback and were treated equally.

There were enough staff with the right skills and experience. A member of staff told us, “I think we have enough staff to keep people safe and get to know them as well.”

Managers made sure staff received training and regular appraisals to maintain high-quality care. Staff told us they attended training specific to their roles, including medicines management and safeguarding people from abuse.

Staff spoke highly of the management team. One member of staff told us, “[Registered manager] is very approachable, I can talk to her whenever I want. We have good communication and regular meetings and handovers.”
