The provider had a proactive and positive culture of safety, based on openness and honesty. Staff listened to concerns about safety... Medicines were administered and stored safely.

Staff worked well as a team and had opportunities to give their views in team meetings and supervisions. Staff felt supported by the management team and felt valued for the work they did.

Staff completed training appropriate to their role and they received supervision to discuss their training needs. Management completed staff competency checks.

The management team were open and approachable. Staff told us how they felt supported and valued by the manager. A staff member told us, “The staff are happier since the new manager has been at the home and things have improved.”

A programme of activities was coordinated by an activities coordinator which were based on people’s suggestions. Transport was booked twice a month... People told us they enjoyed the variety of activities.
