Medicines were mostly managed in a safe way. We found the treatment room on the first floor, which was used to store medicines, was unlocked. The nurse on duty was from an agency.
Staff spoke positively about the acting manager and other senior staff. When asked if they felt supported by the acting manager, one staff member said, 'Very much so, they make sure there's enough staff, they always listen and will always solve your problems.'
People told us there were enough staff to meet their needs. Staff also said there were enough staff and that they had enough time to carry out all their duties. We observed staff were able to carry out their duties in an unhurried manner.
